Bot
An automated program that posts messages or performs actions, rather than a real person.
A bot is a software program that automatically performs actions online — in chat, that usually means sending messages without a human typing them in real time.
Bots are not always bad: some provide useful automated functions. But in anonymous chat, malicious bots are a common problem, used to send spam, push scam links, or impersonate real users at scale.
Telltale signs of a malicious bot include instant, generic replies, messages that ignore what you actually said, and a quick push toward an external link. Reporting suspected bots helps platforms detect and remove them.
