Spam

Unwanted, repetitive, or automated messages — often advertising or links — sent in bulk.

Spam is unsolicited, repetitive messaging, typically sent in bulk and often promotional. In chat contexts it shows up as repeated links, advertisements, scam solicitations, or the same message pasted over and over.

Beyond being annoying, spam is frequently a vehicle for scams and malicious links, which is why many chat platforms automatically block links or filter repeated messages before they reach other users.

If you receive spam from another user, blocking stops it for you and reporting helps the platform shut down the source.
