Rapport
A sense of mutual understanding and ease between people in a conversation.
Rapport is the feeling of easy connection and mutual understanding that develops between people who are clicking in conversation. It is what turns a series of exchanged messages into a genuine back-and-forth.
Rapport builds through small signals: matching each other's tone, showing genuine curiosity, remembering what the other person said, and finding shared ground. It usually starts with light small talk and deepens naturally.
In anonymous chat, rapport is what distinguishes a memorable conversation from a forgettable one — and it is often the thing that makes two strangers decide to keep talking or become friends.
