Talk to Strangers
Starting a conversation online with someone you have never met and know nothing about.
"Talk to strangers" describes the core activity of anonymous and random chat platforms: opening a conversation with a person you have no prior connection to and no shared context with.
The appeal is novelty and openness — a stranger has no preconceptions about you, which can make it easier to be candid, try out ideas, or simply meet someone outside your usual social circle. The flip side is that you also know nothing about them, which is why safety practices (not sharing personal information too early, using block and report tools) matter more here than in conversations with people you know.
Talking to strangers online is different from public posting: it is usually a direct, private or semi-private exchange rather than broadcasting to an audience.
