Private Chat

A private chat is a direct conversation between two people that no one else can see or join, as opposed to a public chat room where a group can read along and participate.

Private chats are where more personal conversations usually happen once two people have connected — for example, after meeting in a public room or being matched in random chat and choosing to continue one-on-one.

Because private chats are not moderated by other participants the way a busy room effectively is, personal safety tools like blocking and reporting are the main protection if a private conversation turns uncomfortable.
