Guest Mode

Guest mode lets you start using a chat platform immediately, typically by just picking a display name, without registering an account, verifying an email, or providing a password.

It lowers the barrier to trying a platform and fits the anonymous-chat use case well, since you are not asked for identifying information up front. The tradeoff is usually that guest sessions are more limited than a registered account — for example, guest data may not persist between sessions, and some features (like saving friends or creating rooms) may require registering.

Guest mode is different from being logged out — a guest is an active, temporary identity the platform recognizes for the length of the session.
