Social Chat Rooms
Lighter, faster rooms aimed at meeting people rather than discussing a subject.
Social rooms are for the part of chatting that is not about a topic at all — introductions, small talk, jokes, and the slow business of working out who you actually want to talk to.
Because the aim is meeting people, these rooms reward showing up more than once. Registered accounts keep a friends list and a seven-day history of conversations, so a good chat on Tuesday is still there on Thursday.
Every room carries the same protections as the rest of TruChat: word filters, link blocking, and one-click report and block on every message.
Other kinds of room
- General Chat — Open conversation with no particular subject — the default room for meeting people.
- Deep Talk — Longer, slower conversations for people who find small talk exhausting.
- Study Chat — Quiet company while you work, and someone to ask when you get stuck.
- Country Rooms — Rooms organised around a place, for shared timezone, language and context.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account to join Social Chat rooms?
No. Guests can browse and join any public room after picking a username and confirming they are over 18. A free account reserves your username and keeps a friends list and conversation history.
Are Social Chat rooms free?
Yes, entirely. TruChat takes no payments of any kind — Premium is earned by redeeming TruPoints, never bought.
Can I create my own Social Chat room?
Yes. Registered users can create a room in this category with their own name and description. Rooms stay alive while people keep using them.
Are these rooms moderated?
Yes. TruChat is strictly 18+, and every room has automated word filters, link blocking, and one-click report and block on every message.
